Tyson Voigt is an avid orchestral, chamber, and contemporary musician currently serving as Principal Percussionist for The Orchestra Now. His performances range from the latest avant-garde to early music classics, frequently including cross-genre and interdisciplinary collaborations. His participation on the 2011 album Restless. Endless. Tactless. - Music of Johanna Beyer was regarded as an “engaging experience” (Gramaphone) and “immaculately played” (BBC Music Magazine).

Tyson designs his performances to creatively engage new audiences. In the Resound Duo, he focuses on social topics and dramatic performance. His solo music is often unusual and highly theatrical. In improvisation groups, he invites audience participation and integrates other arts. He also seeks venues that draw the audience and performer together more intimately, frequently breaking the "fourth wall" to enhance the listening experience.
